Spring ritual to invite more harmony into your life

Are you wanting to invite more harmony this spring?

 Here in the southern hemisphere today is the first day of spring. I love spring, I think it might actually be my favourite! I thought why not birth my first blog with the birth of a new season. 

I did plan a lengthy first blog post all about my calling to the pussaayyyy but you’ll have to wait a little longer for that one.

So with this new season, lets chat about how women are so intricately linked to this change. For too long we have been expected to be the same woman every day, following a typical daily routine day to day, week to week. We are expected to be productive, work, look after our families, exercise, get things done, take care of ourselves, maintain a social life and stay sane!

Now i’m not saying we can’t do this because we have already established for many years that we can do it all, but we don’t have to and for many of us it is to the detriment of our own health.

Sisters, we our like wild roses. A rose does not bloom all year round. With every season they change and so do we.

Over the past few decades there has been a shift in societies expectations and a real lack of support for the women and mothers in our communities. With this we have seen a rise in infertility, PCOS, endometritis, stress and symptoms related to painful sex and periods. If we want this to change, It is time that we accept we are cyclical women.

Do not waste time waiting for society to catch up. Reclaim YOUR body and YOUR health now! 

Let me ask you….. Do you feel Some days you are bursting with energy, others you’re not? Some days you want to be a social butterfly and surround ourselves with people, other days you just want retreat into your own cave to be alone?

As women we are not only influenced by the outer seasons but also greatly by our own inner seasons. Yes you read that right, we have seasons within us - in our menstrual cycle, like nature herself, forever changing, forever evolving. Knowing and understanding these cycles will help you build a stronger connection with yourself, create harmony between your inner & outer worlds and empower you to make informed choices/plans based on your energy. 

If you no longer bleed you will benefit from connecting with the moon cycle. The moon governs your emotional body. It has a gravitational pull on water, women are made up of more than 50% water. The lunar cycle is similar to the menstrual cycle with an average 29 days. It also goes through similar cyclic phases and seasons. Harmonising with the moon can; heighten your intuition, reconnect you with your natural cycles, encourage you to explore your true essence and act as a guide to your feelings.

As you get more used to linking you moods with the lunar cycle, you will be able to anticipate the feelings and emotions you may have on coming days even weeks, therefore better understanding yourself and your needs.

Inner Winter

The death & rebirth of a new cycle brings a fresh start. A time for introspection, rest & reflection. You may notice you feel less social so take this time to go inward, recharge & find joy in solitude. You may also want to set intentions for the new cycle. 

Inner Spring 

Your energy is building so think about those intentions you set in winter. What can you do to make them bloom. Start a new project, take inspired action but be careful not to over exert yourself. 

Inner Summer

Your energy is amplified, You can see your manifestations come alive. You feel more confident & social making this a great time for gatherings, celebration & ceremony. Show gratitude and appreciation for where you are and what you have achieved at this time.

Inner Autumn

As you begin to turn inward again you can reflect and release what is no longer in alignment. re-evaluate your goals and visions. Strengthen your boundaries. Slow down and amp up the self-care as you journey back towards your inner winter. 


We often feel like we need to do it all to prove ourselves but do not resist your inner landscape. Tapping into the energies within you and around you, is the most potent way to magnetise your desires, manifest goals whilst restoring optimal health in your pelvic centre and overall wellbeing.


So, back to Spring……

Represented by our Inner Maiden spring is a time for new beginnings, rebirth, growth, soul led planning, intention setting and action but also a time for playfulness, softness, vulnerability and creativity.

Use this energy to put some steps in place so you can begin to magnetise what it is you’ve been dreaming about in the depths of your womb all winter. Learn a new skill, start a project, enrol in that course, look for that dream job or better still create it! 


SPRING RITUAL:
Use this simple ritual to call in Spring’s expansive energy…

Gather your sacred ritual tools (sage, crystals, candle and anything that reminds you of new beginnings, dreams, desires) 

Go on an intuitive nature walk led by your heart to collect a gift from mother earth for your altar space.

Notice how the changing of the seasons looks, smells, feels, sounds and tastes. Send your love, thanks and attention to the beauty you witness around you. When you find your altar piece from nature you can begin your ritual. Set up an altar place at home or outside in a way that is feels good to you. Trust your intuition.

Sit and connect to the ground beneath you. Cleanse your space, call in your guides and light your candle. Drop into a quiet meditation just being with your breath. 

Ask yourself : 

What were the highs and the lows of this last season? Feel into what comes up for you. As you breath in thanking winter for the joys and the lessons and on each exhale letting go, one by one, of anything that you don’t want to take into spring.

Keeping with your breath lets welcome Spring and thank it for returning. Asking spring to guide and support you in the coming months as you begin to birth your seeds. Breathing in all that you desire for your highest good and as you exhale birthing this vibration  to life.

You may want to journal before you end your ritual.

Other ways to call in spring energy:

  • Rise with the sun

  • Have a spring clean

  • Celebrate with fresh healthy meals like spring vegetable soups and seasonal fruit

  • Buy fresh flowers and or plant seeds in your garden

  • Create a vision board

My spring wish for you is that you awaken to the magic that you are. As the flowers begin to open and bloom, so too will you, claiming all that is yours.
